At Oakland DBT and Mindfulness Center we see individuals and couples (age 18+) who come to therapy to address a range of concerns. We have various backgrounds and training that we bring this to our work. People come to see us who are not in need of DBT intensive therapy, but want help addressing challenges in relationships, life transitions, self-esteem, stress reduction or couples therapy, for example. The benefit of having a therapist with DBT training is the emphasis on tools and skills that facilitate change and there is a clear focus on goals. Our therapists are also trained in the following modalities:

  • Couples therapy
  • ACT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy)
  • Somatic Therapy
  • Behavioral Activation for depression
  • Traditional models that support insight
  • Expressive Arts

We are a private pay service, meaning that we do not accept insurance, or Medical, but can provide a Superbill if you receive out of network benefits (please ask your insurance directly about this).
